Breast Cancer & Younger Women
- Breast cancer rates in women under 40 are rising at an alarming rate.
- Younger women diagnosed with breast cancer are more likely to face aggressive forms of the disease and a higher chance of it coming back later in life.
- For years, screening options for women under 40 have been limited because dense breast tissue can make mammograms less accurate.
- Because early detection tools have been limited, many younger women are diagnosed after the cancer has already progressed.
- Black women under 35 are twice as likely to be diagnosed with breast cancer and three times more likely to die from it than white women in the same age group.
- More than 30% of breast cancer cases in young women are diagnosed within a few years of giving birth.
- In 2026, more than 13,000 women under 40 are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer, and over 1,000 will lose their lives to the disease.
Our Story
Breast Care Aware began with a simple but powerful goal: to make breast health screening feel safer, more comfortable, and less frightening for women everywhere. Inspired by the innovative spirit of ECO Health in Antigua and Barbuda, the initiative was created to offer a more modern and compassionate approach to breast care.
As the first national initiative of its kind, Breast Care Aware is introducing AI-powered, no-touch screening technology designed to reduce discomfort and improve access to early awareness. By helping women establish a digital breast health baseline from ages 18 to 80, the focus shifts from reacting to illness to supporting prevention and early detection.
Supported by Breast Friends and guided by a growing network of local professionals, Breast Care Aware is about more than technology. It is about giving women the confidence, knowledge, and support they need to take charge of their health whether they are daughters, mothers, sisters, or grandmothers across the Commonwealth.
The Moment Everything Changed
Breast Care Aware LLC began with a moment none of us could forget.
A vibrant 34-year-old woman within our extended circle of family and friends was diagnosed with breast cancer. Overnight, everything changed. What stood out most was not just the diagnosis itself, but the fear and uncertainty felt by everyone who loved her.
That experience revealed something difficult but important: too many women under 40 are often told they are “too young” to think about breast cancer, even though early awareness can make all the difference.
We knew there had to be a better way.
That search led us to Niramai Thermalytix, a non-invasive, radiation-free technology designed to support earlier breast health awareness, especially for younger women and women with dense breast tissue.
Breast Care Aware was created with one clear purpose to replace fear and uncertainty with knowledge, comfort, and access to better screening experiences.
Welcome to Breast Care Aware
The Future of Breast Health Screening
To the women of Antigua and Barbuda,
A new approach to breast health is taking shape across the Commonwealth. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Breast Care Aware is proud to introduce Niramai Thermalytix as part of a modern effort to improve early breast health screening and awareness.
Over the past year, this technology has been pilot-tested with women aged 18 to 80. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many women sharing that they appreciated the comfort, privacy, and ease of the experience.
The "No-Touch" Promise
We understand that traditional screenings can feel uncomfortable or intimidating for many women. That is why our approach is designed to be private, non-invasive, and completely radiation-free.
Using advanced thermal imaging technology, including the FLIR E76 Auto-Focus thermal system, along with AI-assisted analysis, the screening process is designed to identify temperature and metabolic changes in breast tissue that may need further attention.
The experience is safe, comfortable, and designed with women of all ages in mind.
A Community-First Partnership
Our mission is deeply connected to the people and communities of our islands. We are honored to work alongside Breast Friends, whose advocacy and support continue to make a meaningful difference for women and families across the country.
Together, we are working toward a future where every woman has access to compassionate care, trusted information, and greater confidence in her health journey.

The Historic Invitation
Antigua And Barbuda Leading The Way
Antigua and Barbuda is helping introduce a new approach to breast health awareness through AI-supported screening technology. For many women, this is an opportunity to take an earlier and more proactive approach to understanding their breast health.
Why Start Early?
Beginning at age 18, women can establish a personal digital breast health baseline that can be monitored over time. The goal is to encourage awareness and consistency, rather than waiting until symptoms appear.
Designed For Comfort And Privacy
We understand that traditional screening experiences can feel intimidating. That is why the process is designed to be:
- No-touch
- Radiation-free
- Private and comfortable
The experience focuses on helping women feel informed, respected, and at ease.
A New Generation of Preventive Care
Your health journey today can become an important reference point for the future. Establishing a baseline earlier in life may help create a clearer long-term picture of breast health over time.
Women across St. John’s and throughout the country have shared positive feedback about the comfort and simplicity of the experience.
The National Health Pledge
Breast Care Aware encourages women to take part in a growing movement centered on awareness, prevention, and community support for future generations.
The initiative is built around one belief: informed women help build healthier families and stronger communities.
Baseline Founder Recognition
Women who complete their first screening may receive a digital “Baseline Founder” badge recognizing their participation in this early national initiative focused on breast health awareness.
Share Your Experience
Participants can also choose to share supportive messages on social media and encourage other women to learn more about breast health screening and early awareness.
Real Stories, Real Women
One of the most powerful parts of this initiative is hearing directly from women in the community.
From university students to mothers and grandmothers, women of different generations are sharing their experiences and encouraging others to prioritize their health.
The support of Breast Friends helps bring an added sense of trust, compassion, and community to the program.
The “Knowledge is Power” Survey
The Breast Care Aware survey is designed to give women a voice and better understand how they feel about breast health awareness and preventive care.
Questions focus on personal experiences, community impact, and the importance of having access to modern screening options.
Women may also choose to become Community Ambassadors and help encourage others in their families and social circles to establish their own breast health baselines.
Community Ambassador Program
Women who wish to support the initiative can participate in the Ambassador Program by helping friends, relatives, and community members learn more about available screening opportunities.
The goal is simple: encourage open conversations around women’s health and make breast health awareness feel more approachable and supportive.
Different ambassador recognition levels may be awarded based on participation and community outreach.
A 45-Year Promise to The Caribbean
For more than four decades, the founders of Breast Care Aware have maintained deep personal connections to the Caribbean and its communities. Over the years, a shared hope grew—to help bring meaningful and accessible healthcare solutions to the islands they care deeply about.

Antigua And Barbuda: A Regional Example
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Gaston Browne, Antigua and Barbuda is helping demonstrate how advanced healthcare technology can become more accessible within a national healthcare framework.
The hope is that this model can inspire similar initiatives throughout the Caribbean region.
“Equal Health for Every Woman”
At the heart of the initiative is a simple belief: every woman deserves access to information, care, and support regardless of background or income.
When women are empowered with knowledge and access to care, families and communities benefit as well.
The ECO Health Initiative
Inspired by the vision of expanding access to modern healthcare solutions, the ECO Health Initiative focuses on bringing AI-supported preventive care closer to communities throughout the Caribbean.
The mission is rooted in protecting and supporting the well-being of the people who make these islands strong.
The Life Vitality Heart
Women who complete a screening may receive a symbolic Life Vitality heart as a reminder of the importance of caring for their health and encouraging others to do the same.
What the Heart Represents
Life And Vitality
The heart symbolizes the importance of living a healthy, active, and informed life.
Compassion And Community
It reflects empathy, support, and the shared commitment to helping women feel seen, supported, and cared for throughout their health journey.
Courage And Awareness
For many women, taking the first step toward screening requires courage. The heart serves as a reminder that awareness and knowledge can help replace fear with confidence.
Sisterhood And Connection
As more women participate, the symbol becomes a quiet sign of encouragement and solidarity within the community—a reminder that no woman has to face her health journey alone.
